The Northern Illinois (2-7, 2-3 MAC) are coming off of a dominating 44-16 road win against Kent State on Halloween night. The Ball State (3-6, 1-4 MAC) last played at Akron on Oct. 28 where they lost 21-20. With just three games remaining, Northern Illinois must snap its four-game losing streak to have a shot at finishing with six wins and gaining bowl eligibility. What’s more, the Ball State are looking to snap a six-game losing streak to their MAC East rivals. Northern Illinois’s last victory over Ball State came back in 2010. The past three games between these two have been decided by no more than eight points, including last year’s 27-19 Northern Illinois victory.
