Vikings vs Bears M N F live stream. Bears vs. Vikings: Can Mitch Trubisky make a difference in first start, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer ‘anticipates’ QB Sam Bradford will start vs. Bears
Bears fans have been waiting for this day since April, when Mitch Trubisky became the quarterback of the future as the team’s No. 2 overall draft pick. It took just four games for the Bears to dump turnover-prone Mike Glennon and graduate their rookie early from their original season-of-schooling plan. The Bears have tried to temper expectations for Trubisky, noting mistakes are sure to happen and improvement needs to come from the team as a whole. But the outside pressure is on. Can he handle it? “You only get nervous or feel pressure when you’re not prepared for the situation or you don’t know what you’re doing,” Trubisky said.
In his only game this year, Bradford threw for 346 yards and three touchdowns while completing 84.4-percent of his passes, picking up where he left off after a 2016 season in which he led the NFL in completion percentage. In two games against the Bears last year, he completed 68.6-percent of his passes for 478 yards, four touchdowns and one interception, losing the first matchup before winning the second in Week 17. Bradford isn’t quite as mobile as Keenum, but his arm provides a much larger passing threat that the Bears will have to account for this week, but lucky for them, they’ll have a much larger passing threat of their own.
The Bears defense and the Vikings offense are both looking to overcome absences of key players, so whose injuries will hurt more? It’s the Bears linebackers corps that was ailing this week. Nick Kwiatkoski didn’t practice while recovering from a pectoral injury, and Danny Trevathan sat out because of an NFL suspension for an illegal hit against the Packers. Willie Young also was battling a triceps injury that kept him out of practice Friday. The Vikings must overcome the loss of running back Dalvin Cook to a torn ACL. And will quarterback Sam Bradford return from a knee injury or will backup Case Keenum lead his fourth straight game
