Wait, aren’t the four storylines Trubisky, Trubisky, Trubisky, Trubisky? Of course his debut is huge, but the Bears need Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen to do their parts as well against a Vikings run defense that ranks third in the NFL. The Bears’ two best rushing performances last year came against the Vikings, with 158 in Week 8 and 183 in Week 17. “We know they’re definitely going to be out after us this year because we ran the ball with a lot of success last year,” Howard said. “So they’re definitely going to try to take that away from us. In his only game this year, Bradford threw for 346 yards and three touchdowns while completing 84.4-percent of his passes, picking up where he left off after a 2016 season in which he led the NFL in completion percentage.

In two games against the Bears last year, he completed 68.6-percent of his passes for 478 yards, four touchdowns and one interception, losing the first matchup before winning the second in Week 17. Bradford isn’t quite as mobile as Keenum, but his arm provides a much larger passing threat that the Bears will have to account for this week, but lucky for them, they’ll have a much larger passing threat of their own. The Vikings have been extremely inconsistent on offense through the first four weeks of the season, scoring over 28 points and winning by double digits in both of their wins and being held to under 10 points in each of their losses.

Case Keenum was fantastic with 369 passing yards and three passing touchdowns against Tampa Bay two weeks ago, but he managed only 219 passing yards with no touchdowns last week against Detroit. Minnesota hopes to get starter Sam Bradford back from his knee injury this week.
