Texans vS. Patriots live stream. Howe: 5 things to watch in Patriots vs. Texans, Houston Texans vs. New England Patriots Preview and Prediction
This isn’t so much a playoff rematch as it is a renewal of acquaintances. The Patriots and Texans have made drastic personnel changes since their clash in January. The Texans have gone to rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson, returned a healthy J.J. Watt and lost high-impact defensive stars A.J. Bouye, Vince Wilfork and Brian Cushing (10-game suspension). The Pats didn’t have Rob Gronkowski for the playoffs, added veterans Brandin Cooks, Stephon Gilmore and Mike Gillislee and lost Julian Edelman, Rob Ninkovich and Logan Ryan.
The Texans haven’t possessed two consistently dependable and unsafe receivers since O’Brien’s first season in 2014, which marked Johnson’s final year in uniform and Hopkins’ first as the team’s new No. 1. He will be eager to wreak havoc off of the edge, making this a matchup to watch throughout this game. New England, he has 24 tackles and a sack. This week could be his breakout game in a Patriots uniform. With Cooks always threating to make a big play, look for him to have some big moments as Brady gets him heavily involved in the passing attack.
The Texans will keep things close at first due to their defense. Anyone thin the Texans can pull off the upset? So, for me right now, every team I play against is a giant because it’s new to me. If Houston is going to win this one, they’re going to have to force some turnovers. He’s very calm. A real smooth guy. Brady and his banged-up receiving corps could prove something against the Texans’ banged-up pass defense.
